Mid-term evaluation of EU-UN Joint Programme on Improving Vocational Education in Abkhazia

This USD3.2 million programme was funded by the EU and implemented by UNDP, UNICEF, and FAO. The programme aimed to improve the quality, effectiveness and accessibility of the vocational education system in Abkhazia. It covered four key areas: 1. modernising and upgrading the VET system in general; 2. raising VET awareness and orientation amongst secondary schools; 3. modernising the training of medical professionals in the area of mother and child healthcare; 4. training farmers to combat crop pests that have caused significant economic damage in recent years.
