Monitoring of the EEA & Norway Grants Asylum and Migration Programme in Greece

The Asylum and Migration Programme in Greece aims to contribute to a well-functioning asylum system, enabling asylum-seekers to bring forward their claim for international protection, have their claim processed in due time and be offered accommodation during the processing of their case. The Programme will address major challenges of the whole migration and asylum system through the implementation of seven pre-defined projects (PDPs). These projects include output related to capacity building; administrative enhancement; strategic planning; and infrastructure development. All activities have the aim of generating long term improvements in the public administration. The aim of these missions will be twofold: to monitor the programme and to support the planning of the preparatory phase prior to programme implementation.
