Contributed a case study on the CFCA’s capacity building activities: data monitoring and networks; training, pooled capacities; and FishNet. The main focus of the case study was the development of a common curriculum for the training of fisheries inspectors. The development of the curriculum was a major, systematic, long-term undertaking intended to address the differences in capacities of fisheries inspectors of different EU Member States. The CFCA aimed to develop a comprehensive curriculum that wound in time form the basis for the training of all Member States’ fisheries inspectors. It was a central element of the CFCA’s capacity building effort.
