The NGSIP is a multi-sectoral rural development initiative, implemented by the National Planning Commission of the Government of the Republic of Namibia and the German Development Bank KfW. The NGSIP is funded by the German Government. Developed a managemement information system for monitoring small grants.
Evaluated 7 projects with total EU grants of EUR 1.7 million addressing sexual and reproductive health, cultural heritage, and agriculture. This project aimed to alleviate poverty amongst vulnerable groups (including women and households headed by women) in isolated areas through the development of small-scale berry and vegetable production enterprises, and by developing value chains linking them to national and international markets through processing enterprises.
